Sentimental Jewelry Ideas

I am a jewelry girl through and through. I begged my mom to let me get my ears pierced when I was in preschool, I remember this vividly because by the time she finally took me, I chickened out on getting the second ear pierced because the first one hurt so badly (we went back a few weeks later to finish it up). Point being, I loved jewelry from a young age. Maybe it was that game “Pretty Pretty Princess” – who’s with me? From statement earrings, dainty necklaces and bracelets, I’ve always considered myself a collector.

As I’ve hit milestone ages and moments throughout my life, my family always commemorated the occasions with a piece of jewelry. From my first pair of diamond studs to my first David Yurman bracelet. And when I turned 18, my mom passed down what my dad gave her for a push present when I was born – a ruby and diamond ring. So it should come as no surprise that when I had Lucy, it was one of those moments in life that needed to be commemorated with a piece I’d cherish until I am ready to pass it down to her. A locket was the first thing that came to mind when Freddie asked what I wanted as a push present, a place I could hold him and her closest to my heart.  The piece I am wearing here is by Monica Rich Kosann, her yellow gold diamond. “Anna” locket is one of my most treasured pieces.
