It’s one of New York City’s most glamours evenings, the night of the New York Botanical Gardens Conservatory Ball. An event that lures the most glamorous of guests who get all gussied up in black-tie.
Arriving to the occasion was like stepping into a scene from The Great Gatsby – unbelievably luxurious: from the champagne service upon arrival, a live orchestra playing under the stars and a ballroom overflowing with a feast of floral and fresh fruit adorning each tablescape.
The theme of the evening; Around The Table: Stories of The Foods We Love, couldn’t be more aligned with everything that Freddie and I do and create. Food is at the center of many of life’s most important events, and if I’m being honest food itself is enough of a reason to celebrate!
The exhibition is a living plant exhibition at the NYBG from June 4th through September 11th and invites guests to explore the diversity and beauty of food plants grown around the world. There’s also a variety of garden-wide activities and programs from weekly farmers markets, children’s events and even a pickling weekend!
Nothing like an elegant ball to bring financing and awareness to this vital community resource. If you live in the New York area, be sure to check out their social calendar for events to experience all the NYBG has to offer!
