There’s something undeniably magical about New York City: the rhythm of its streets, the grandeur of its architecture, and the moments of stillness you find tucked behind grand doors or down cobblestoned lanes. Whether I’m in town for a jewelry shoot, a romantic weekend, or a long-overdue dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, where I stay is never just about a place to sleep—it’s about how I want to feel. Inspired. Wrapped in elegance. Reconnected with the city’s timeless charm.
Here are a few of my favorite stays in NYC, each one a love letter to a different part of the city, each one unforgettable.
The Lowell Hotel – Upper East Side Elegance
To stay at The Lowell Hotel is to experience a piece of New York’s iconic charm and elegance. Tucked quietly between Park and Madison Avenues, this gem of the Upper East Side feels like a private residence, but one where you can sip a perfect martini at Jacques Bar or cozy up next to a crackling wood-burning fireplace.
The rooms are plush, the service is thoughtful, and mornings begin with Dior’s Lily of the Valley tea at Majorelle—yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds. There’s something about The Lowell that always makes me feel like I’m returning home.
While you’re here: Just a short car ride away is @restaurantdaniel, the epitome of refined dining. This Michelin-starred haven is where I go when I want to savor every bite and toast to something beautiful with my love. It’s romantic, elegant, and absolutely unforgettable.
The St. Regis New York – Midtown Glamour & Timeless Romance
There are places that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another era, and St. Regis New York is exactly that. This Midtown icon is where crystal chandeliers meet butler service, and every detail whispers luxury. The suites are opulent, the views cinematic and slipping into a velvet booth at King Cole Bar for a Bloody Mary (invented here, of course) feels like a page out of an old Hollywood script.
While you’re here: Enjoy cocktails and conversation at The St. Regis itself. It’s the kind of place where love letters feel appropriate and dressing up feels expected.
The Greenwich Hotel – Tribeca’s Boutique Romance
If the Upper East Side is all about old-school glamour, then the Greenwich Hotel is a masterclass in understated romance. This Leading Hotels of the World property in the heart of Tribeca is where I go when I want to disappear into a little sanctuary.
The rooms blend rustic Italian details with quiet luxury, and the courtyard? It’s like a secret garden—one I could spend hours in, writing, reading, dreaming. It’s perfect for a slow morning with a cappuccino or an evening under twinkling lights.
While you’re here: Wander just steps away to Locanda Verde, one of my absolute favorite spots for Italian. It’s inviting, a little rustic, a lot delicious—and if you order the ravioli, you’ll know exactly why I keep coming back.
Whether you’re checking in for work, romance, or a little bit of both, these pairings are my go-to formula for a New York stay that feels thoughtful, elevated, and full of soul. From uptown glam to downtown charm, there’s a little magic waiting around every corner.
With love, Jenny
