It’s hard to believe that it’s been close to two years since one of the biggest, defining moments of my life. It might sound crazy, but there was a very precise moment that my life shifted gears to get me to where I am, and in more ways than just one.
Exactly two years ago, I sat at this very computer planning my first trip to Paris with the love of my life. Little did I know that I would be coming home engaged. Not only was I suddenly engaged but being in Paris had changed my life, honestly. As cliché as it might sound, it’s true to the core. Confession: I refer to my life before that trip as LPP (Life Pre-Paris). After spending ten utterly amazing days there, my perspective on personal style, life, art, culture and love shifted…like on its side. Complete 180.
Suddenly my creative vision was so much clearer, and everything seemed to click. I think maybe because I felt like Paris understood my stylistic cravings. Looking back, I was not anticipating this overwhelming feeling. I was more than happy with where I was in my life but the light years I have come from that point is mind-blowing.
This shift played a critical role in the direction I took Margo & Me, the direction of uber feminine and delightfully chic musings. From playful St. John knit jackets and brooches paired with pointy toe heels. Paris reassured me that it was ok to embrace my innate desire to dress for every occasion as if it was going to be the best one yet!
