Over the years, I’ve had the honor of learning from some of the most inspiring designers and stylists in the game, and I’m forever fascinated by the tips I learn when around them. From styling tricks to make a silhouette more flattering (cinch the waist, always!), to how to take care of luxury textures, there’s always something I take away from their brilliance. And one lesson that has always stuck with me is the importance of something he called “finishing touches.”

As you can tell from my style, I’m an accessories girl – and I put as much stock into pairing the perfect finishing touches as I do with picking the main attraction or piece of an outfit. Sure, you could be wearing the most insane dress, but without accessories to finish the look off, your look isn’t totally complete. I have shelves full of finishing touches that I can piece together when an element is missing, and accessory browsing is among my favorite past times. Especially from the likes of brands like Chloe, Zimmerman, Mansur Gavriel, and Proenza Schouler to name a few

I’ve been shopping at Barneys New York for as long as I can remember, and I’m in constant awe of their accessories game. Shoes to make you weak at the knees, bags from the best designers in the world, and a jewelry inventory that always leaves me inspired. Not to mention having sales that make my bank account very, very happy (as in their current designer sale up to 60% off). Swoon!

While putting together a cart full of finishing touches from Barneys New York recently, I thought this would be a fun post to put together – especially with the sale. As the stylist taught me, your closet isn’t anything without proper accessories, after all. Below you’ll find areas that I always pay close attention to when shopping and styling (shoes, bags, jewelry), and hopefully something to call your own!
