As I close out my first official Fashion Week and summer as a NYC local, I’m more in love with this city than ever. The energy seems to creep deep within me and I can’t even explain how inspired I’ve felt lately. It’s like the beat of this city matches that of my heart, and it’s where I was always meant to be.

Here’s the thing, though. While I’ve long been a hustler and running from meeting to presentation to shoot is nothing new, New York is a lot different than Los Angeles, the place I called home for nearly a decade before making the move east. in LA, walking is pretty much moot, and the perfectly paved streets of Beverly Hills aren’t what you’d consider gritty.

And then there’s New York. Don’t get me wrong, it’s part of what I love so much about the city, but the hustle is even more real. You’re running from meeting to meeting, most of the time literally on your feet unless you’re lucky enough to grab a non-surging Uber. The streets have life to them, including uneven pavements, waste from the millions of people hustling in this city, and so on. The urban atmosphere of this incredible city calls for more than the ankle heels or sandals I lived in in California. New York calls for the Corsa bootie.

My personal favorite of the beloved M Gemi family, the Corsa is not only incredible flattering, but it’s a ride-or-die bootie. Shoewear that can take me from an early morning meeting throughout the day of running around the city and back in time for dinner with my love at a neighborhood favorite. On top of that, the versatility is unparalleled. I’ve already been mixing the ‘60s inspired Naplak leather with boho dresses and mini skirts during September, and know I’ll live in them throughout leather legging season come winter. I don’t plan on taking these boots off, even on trips back to California. They’re officially my new skin.

And because I love these boots so much, I wanted to provide my lovely readers with a chance to purchase your own! Use promo code JENNY40 for $40 off your first M. Gemi order (and you know which booties I’d spend that towards…).
