Ten years. A whole decade since the day we stood hand in hand at the Château D’Esclimont in France and said yes to this life together. This post is my ten year wedding anniversary reflection, an entry about love, growth, and all that has unfolded since that golden July day.

I can still feel that warm July air, see the golden light spilling over the gardens, and hear the quiet hum of laughter floating through the courtyard. It was the kind of day you wish you could bottle up, the sound of our endless laughter, friends clinking glasses, fireworks, the smell of lavender in the air, the feeling of knowing that everything ahead of us was unwritten and full of possibility.

I think back to that moment often, not just because it was beautiful, but because it marked the start of something we couldn’t have fully understood at the time. We were two people, so sure of each other, yet with no idea of all that would unfold. The late nights, the moves, the milestones. The ways love stretches and reshapes you. The quiet in-between moments that become the heartbeat of a marriage.

This week, as we celebrated ten years surrounded by the family we built, I found myself so emotional. It’s not just about the time that’s passed, it’s about what that time has held. Two little girls who were once only dreamt of. A home that we poured our hearts into. A partnership that’s evolved through seasons of both grace and growth.

To look around now and see all the love we’ve created feels like the truest full circle. The beginning will always be beautiful, but what’s even more beautiful is how that beginning lives on in the life we’ve built since.

Here’s to ten years, to everything we’ve learned, and to all the chapters still to come.
